Jean-Claude Sensemat is born in France in 1951, in a craftsmen family. He acquired the taste for quality expressed by the know-how of traditional corporations of craftsmen.

Very early, he becomes very fond of watchmaking and of the different brands that qualify the history of different companies.

In 1990, his passion makes him buy the watchmaking brand Lip and relaunch it with success.

His human dimension brings him to the side of Fred Lip, who was pushed aside from the business for more than twenty years.

Fred Lip was the last link of the Lipmann dynasty, he stays in history as the legendary and charismatic boss of the Lip watches, he marked the world of watchmaking by his genius and his creations.

He considered Jean-Claude Sensemat as his son and wrote him by hand on January 11, 1991 on one of his pictures : « to my "Son" Jean-Claude Sensemat his " Father " Fred Lip ». He also transmitted him the watchmaking know-how acquired through generations.

As soon as his forty-five years, Jean-Claude Sensemat was made Knight of the Légion d'Honneur for professionnal services given to France.

In 2002, the President of the Republic of France gives him diplomatic responsibilities that he will occupy for 4 years and to this day he is still an emeritus honorary Consul, all this gave him experience in intermediation.

Installed with his family since 2006 in North America, in Montreal, he has knowledge and expereince. His well known and often proved honesty makes him an independent watchmaking expert.

Today his watchmaking expertise is renowned all over the world.
